Everyone’s reasons for seeking therapy are different; we are all unique.

You may be looking to talk to someone who will simply listen to how you’re feeling, without judgment, where you can share the things you’re struggling to say out loud elsewhere. You may feel anxious and overwhelmed in this strange world we’re living in and need help unpicking how you’re feeling. You may have lost someone close to you and are struggling to cope. Or your issues may be more complex which may take more time for us to unpick.

I am here to give you that space to listen and figure out what you need.

As a relational integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I am able to draw on many theories, techniques and mindsets.  Working together, we would explore and determine an approach that works best for you. This could include considering the areas of your life that are currently causing you difficulty, meanwhile thinking back to your past to help you understand why you may feel the way you do, all-the-while working towards visualising what you want from the future.

Having been in therapy myself, I know what it feels like to sit in the other chair. I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of the relationship between a therapist and a client. As such, I believe it is important you find a therapist you can work with and trust.  Your first session would therefore be a non-committal opportunity for us to get to know each other. We could then determine whether we’re a good fit. We would also explore together what has brought you to therapy, what it is you’re struggling with, and what you are hoping therapy can do to help.

In terms of my background and training, I am a Minster Centre-trained counsellor and psychotherapist, working with individual adults, both face-to-face and online.  I am based in the Brentwood, CM14 area.  I am registered with the BACP and accredited by UKCP.  I am also a member of The Relational School.
